Buyers looking for a comfortable and spacious luxury sedan have plenty of options. Two cars in particular have become regular choices for American drivers: the 2013 Lincoln MKZ and the 2013 Chrysler 300.

Both vehicles come from historic brands, and both offer high quality interiors full of premium materials. Both cars highlight their brand's attempt to rise to the top of the sedan market, but which one is superior? Which one offers better space, better handling, and better infotainment?

When the dust settles, it becomes clear that the Chrysler 300 is simply the superior car.

2013 Chrysler 300 vs. 2013 Lincoln MKZ: The Most Comfortable Slugfest Ever

Spaciousness: When it comes to driving comfort, both vehicles are at the top of their games, but for leg-stretching space, the MKZ can't match the Chrysler 300. Both the front seats and the back seats in the 300 have better measurements for rear passenger leg room.  Also, the MKZ has a respectable 15.4 cubic feet of truck space, while the Chrysler 300 has a larger 16.3.

Performance: While the MKZ offers decent acceleration, fans of nimble driving should look elsewhere, as the handling has been called "uninspiring" by U.S. News. The same publication commented on the "powerful base engine" found in the 300, and gave the 300's performance a 7.9 rating. The MKZ suffered a 6.2 performance rating.

Infotainment: While the other categories were near misses for Lincoln, infotainment is a run-away victory for 300. Like the vast majority of Dodge, Chrysler, and Jeep vehicles, the Chrysler 300 carries the award-winning Uconnect system. The MKZ, on the other hand, carries a Lincoln version of the much-criticized MyFord Touch (called MyLincoln in the MKZ).

MyFord has been slammed by Consumer Reports, Edmunds, and Yahoo! Autos as clunky and over complicated, while Uconnect won Best Auto Technology from AOL Auto.

Starting Price: This one is simple- the 2013 Lincoln MKZ has a starting MSRP of $35,925, while the 2013 Chrysler 300 starts at $30,345. Winner: the Chrysler 300.

With more space, better performance,  easy-to-use infotainment, and a price $5,000 less than the competition, the Chrysler 300 easily knocks out the 2013 Lincoln MKZ.
